This is a classic race featuring some of the best trails in Slatyfork WV typically 65-70 miles of riding and hike-a-bike....I'll be toeing the line again in 2008....
Dear Wild 100 Friends,
If you are receiving this, you have raced or inquired about the WILD 100 Backcountry Race. You must be a person who loves an adventure and a challenge. This year's event is going to held on August 16, plenty of time to get in some intensive training in order to be buff and sharp for race day. If you yearn to feel the rocks and roots of Slatyfork, Sign up Now!
This year, in response to requests for a shorter version of the race, we will offer Wild 100 Lite , a 60-70K race for those who are a bit intimidated by 100+K of Slatyfork's challenging singletrack. As usual, we'll be offering many other classes, including the ultra WILD 100 PLUS, which includes an additional checkpoint.
July 25th is the deadline to save $25 on the $140 registration cost, which includes:
o Camping
o Food at race stops
o An incredible post-race buffet prepared Elk River's restaurant staff
o West Virginia micro brews
o T-shirt and race swag
~Pre-register by July 25th with a first timer friend for $95 each!~
If you have any questions regarding the race, or would like to arrange for lodging, email ertc@ertc.com or call us (866-572-3771) at Elk River.
Look forward to seeing you.
Gil Willis
Race Director
