I thought I read somewhere that TBARC was partnering with REI to put on several Nav clinics this year. I cannot find where I read it. Can someone please point me in the right direction or provide details? I have a lot of potential racers for the Atomic Adventure Race asking about navigation and I'd like t point them in the right direction...

Hey Josh,
Zach probably has the information you are looking for on the dates for the nav clinics through the REI grant. I am not sure if we have a definitive schedule at this time or not.

Hey everyone,
The Navigation Clinic on January 31, 2009 will be from 10am - 12pm. Ron Sanders will be leading this nav clinic. There will be a portion of classroom work and then a mini course set out in the back of the club in the woods to practice your newly formed skills.

Topics covered in the clinic will be basic map reading, using a compass, plotting points with a UTM grid and application.

Please make sure to rsvp to Karen Foley kfoley at wellbridge dot com. We already have 15 people signed up to do it!!!

You are also welcomed to workout either before or after the clinic at the club. We have a pool, spin bikes, rock wall, racquetball courts, tennis courts, cardio and weight equipment and tons of classes. We do have child care, you will just need to call the club and make a reservation for your children prior to the clinic. 404.325.2700

We should have the Nav training schedule for the REI stores and the Athletic Club NE for 2009 next week.
