Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday for the nav challenge. It was GREAT meeting everyone!
The general consensus was that the 19 CP's were all in the right place ( ), and that it was a tough but fun event.
We had everyone from experienced navers getting back into the sport after layoffs to newbie navers, and everyone (rightly so) left feeling good about the day and good about what they had accomplished.
Thanks for supporting this event (I appreciate you guys coming out and spending the day). Thanks to Todd Essig in Nashville who helped us put the maps together using Nat Geo map ware, when it became obvious that the Garmin-junk I had access to was just not gonna cut it - talk about a frantic and rushed trip to Nashville mid-week..............
And thank you SO MUCH to my good friend Larry, who I suckered into traipsing around time and time again in the woods scouting, gpsing and flag-setting. I could never have done this without you.
(This was my first try at this and I now have a newfound respect for RD's and volunteers who put these kinds of things on. A LOT of work, and a whole bunch of stress).
Thanks again everyone - I had a blast putting it together, and a blast meeting all of you. |

Hi Karin,
We had a great time and we REALLY appreciate all the effort you went through!! It was a LOT of fun and gave me a good idea on areas for personal improvement.
Thanks again.
Rob
PS - Please thank Larry for us as well. |
